How Do Property Inspections Work?
Property inspections are an important part of your experience as a resident. At Pros PM, we complete inspections throughout your lease, including move-in, routine check-ins, and move-out. These inspections help us stay proactive with maintenance and keep clear records for everyone involved.
Your Move-In Inspection
When you move in, you’ll receive an email with a link to zInspector, our inspection platform. You have 48 hours to complete this inspection.
From there, you’ll be guided through each room of your home. The process is simple:
Walk through the property room by room.
Take photos of each area.
Document anything that appears damaged or needs attention.
If something is correctly marked as an issue, a maintenance work order is automatically created, so our team can take care of it.
Semi-Annual Inspections
Throughout your lease, you’ll also complete semi-annual inspections using zInspector. Just like your move-in inspection, you’ll receive a link and be guided through the home to document its current condition.
This helps us stay on top of maintenance and ensures everything continues to meet our standards. If you are unable to complete an inspection, one of our team members will do it for you for an additional charge.

Your Move-In Inspection Matters at Move-Out
We know this move-in inspection feels like something to quickly get through in the chaos of moving. But please take some time with it- this inspection becomes very important at move-out. By documenting the property at move-in, completing another inspection at move-out, and conducting our unit turn inspection, we have a clearer record of what changed during your residency.
We use these inspections as the basis for the security deposit at move-out. Our goal is to make the security deposit process documented, consistent, and easy to understand as you wrap up your time with Pros PM.
